New Headbands/ fascinators

One things which is great is that they can be made in any colour combination, and because of the way the fabric is manipulated no two can ever be completely the same! So add something unique to that outfit with the hugely fashionable fascinators!

They have also been really popular with bridesmaids!

you can also follow me on twitter under lornasyson, and facebook under Lorna Syson Textiles!!

100% futures at 100% design

Heard that I have been accepted into 100% futures!
Great news but now its decision time, both shows have really good points and I'm sure which ever one I go for it will be beneficial for Lorna Syson Textiles but with money tight its a case of the £270 difference is a big gamble.... and doing the sums I don't think i actually have it?! fingers crossed a solution will appear!

Sorting out the website

Who would have thought doing such a simple website would take so much planning to make sure everything is perfect!?! I've now spend three days solid perfecting the photographs I have had sent back form the shoot and another couple of days making sure everything matches so that Marc (my website designer) has the simplest job possible! here is a sneaky peak of a prototype of the website home page!!

Things seem to be looking up though, I had a brilliant meeting with my princes trust mentor on Thursday, really good just to chat and bounce ideas of someone who really wants to listen. Often i find just sounding it out in that way i end up answering my own questions, and realize i knew the answer all along I just didn't know I did!

I now have a list of things to get sorted, try and do a bit at a time (bite-sized pieces) and the list will eventually shorten.

Below I've added some new photos waiting to go onto the website! can't wait for it to but up so I can start showing it off

Meeting Theo Patihetis

I went to the liberties open call Feb 2010, it involved four hours of queuing but in this time Theo Patihtis was coming past interviewing people on camera for his new show with the BBC called the buying game. Had a good chat about my work and what I do, he was a really nice man and made time to chat and find out about everyone he talked to (i was lucky enough to have a huge box and he wanted to know what was inside).
Also had a chat to liberties who recommended talking to interior designers about them using my work as feature pieces! Exciting times!!
