Lorna Syson short listed for the June/july grand Ideas Awards


I have been short listed for the Grand Idea's Awards, very exciting and nerve racking. Just making my video at the moment which will be ready to view on Friday. Please vote for me this award is very important to me and my business.

Lisa Bean (LMBT Solutions), LondonLMBT Solutions is a consultancy firm specialising in student and graduate development and networking. Under the registered trademark of Gradvert the company has been established to provide students and graduates with the tools, training, development and networking opportunities needed to achieve success in business.
Luke Boulton-Major (Karma Active), BristolKarma Active currently provide alternative sports programmes to school children, and would like to develop an instructor pack which is purchased by potential instructors and trains them in how to deliver the Martial Arts Pack for their schools and community groups.
Fred Clough (Scholify.com), LondonScholify com is a website designed to promote collaborative learning. Dedicated to all things student Scholify allows students to create work spaces to work on group projects and also discuss ideas related to their studies with the wider community. Scholify provides a free platform for young people to interact and collaborate on academic and educational themed topics.

Natalie Pierce-Jones (Fairypants), ChesterFairypants is a complete range of dresses, corsets, fairy tutus, jewellery and accessories, all handmade by me. I offer a bespoke service from start to finish, along with a large selection of 'off the peg' items. For example, my customers can see a dress that I have designed and made, then they can alter it to suit their purpose. This is perfect for customers who want a bespoke dress, but have no idea where to start when designing it themselves.
Alexander Robinson (Trendring), SouthamptonMy business is a personalised review website, connecting social networking and ecommerce. People’s confidence to make shopping decisions is strongly influenced by their friends and family, who often accompany them to the shops. However, when buying online there is usually no opportunity to discuss prospective purchases with friends, as they are not present.
Lorna Syson, CoventryCreates hand-made sculptural textiles for home soft furnishings from my Midlands based studio. Also works on larger scale installations for hotels, shop decor and interior designers, offering a completely unique and bespoke service.

We etch adverts into any hard stone or concrete surface from pavements to walls. The only cleaning fluid we use is H2O – pure clean water.
